My BackgroundHi, my name is Mark Sain. I've been a car buff for many years. Here's a bit of my story: At a used car lot in a small middle Tennessee town the 'car bug' bit and I have been infected with this disease for over forty years. The father of one of my high school friends was a co-owner in the dealership, which allowed me the opportunity to grow up around these classic cars. One of my first drives was an SS Impala, which has a way of hooking you for life! When you were in the graduating class of 1967 you were born to love the muscle cars of that era. Over the last four decades I have bought, sold, restored and collected cars from every vintage. There was a Cadillac LaSalle, some Ford Mustangs, a sweet 1953 MG-TD, several Corvettes, a few pickups, and even a 1926 Studebaker! This diversified experience has included owning approximately 150 cars in the last forty-three years!
My family has lived in Florence for 25 years where we have established a good reputation within the community. We own and operate three businesses in Florence, which enables me to devote my 'hobby' time and energy to one of the real passions of my life. For me it has never changed. I grew up around the classic cars of the sixties and my wife jokingly says I have never grown up when it comes to these treasures. Sun, 21 Feb 2010This is the new Mercedes F800 Style, a stunning concept car that the Germany company will unveil at the 2010 Geneva motor show next month. The exterior previews the next CLS (and Mercedes’ future design language) while under the skin there’s all sorts of clever tech, from the next generation of HMI control systems to plug-in and fuel-cell powertrains. Mercedes calls it a ‘multi-drive platform’, and the F800 Style is built to take both hydrogen fuel-cell and plug-in hybrid powertrains, with the former offering a range of 375 miles and the latter allowing for 19 zero-emissions miles.

Wed, 17 Nov 2010This is the new 2010 Porsche Cayman R, the lightest and most powerful version yet of Stuttgart’s mid-engined sports car, and the closest it’s ever been allowed to get to the hallowed 911. Over and above the Cayman S, the Cayman R has a mere 10bhp more, taking the total to 325bhp – the torque figure is unchanged at 272lb ft. Much more impressive (and important) are the weight reductions: the Cayman R is 55kg lighter than the Cayman S.
