Briefs all in for Car Design Awards China 2014

It's exactly a month since the fifth annual Car Design Awards China's launch and we're pleased to announce all the briefs are in. Created to discover the latest crop of Chinese design talent, this year's contest – open to full-time students studying a design discipline of any kind in China – features briefs from Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Geely, JAC, Qoros and UD Trucks. Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-Benz has asked participants to study the average Chinese family, their lifestyle and habits and design the most suitable Mercedes-Benz car concept imaginable for them in the future.

Warning against driveway thefts in winter

DRIVERS are being warned to not leave their cars unattended while warming them up this winter as car theft increases in the colder months. Thieves find it easy pickings when drivers leave car on driveways with the engine running to heat up the car before leaving home. The next promo video for the F-Type Coupe  - Art of Villainy - has already arrived and features Tom Hiddleston as the suave villain teaching us what it takes to be a proper villain. An opening voiceover of the John of Gaunt speech from Shakespeare’s Richard II (This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England..) sets the scene for an unashamedly patriotic push for the uniqueness of the F-Type Coupe.
