Last night Mercedes-Benz launched its new S-Class sedan in the delivery hall of Airbus in Hamburg and Car Design News was there to get the low-down on this eagerly-awaited limo. Context was fittingly provided by an A380 lounging in the background as the current lineup of Mercedes-Benz escorted Benz's big boy onto the stage, amidst artificial fireworks and real thunder and lightning.

For example, sports cars like the Bugatti Veyron and Pagani Huayra have astronomically high performance and safety levels; similarly, sport-utility vehicles that haul entire families (and most of their earthly possessions) achieve fuel economy similar to that of 1970s midsize sedans. Fri, 09 Sep 2011Eterniti Hemera - it's a titivated Porsche Cayenne We did speculate from the start that the new car company that is Eterniti Motors is in fact a high-end customiser, and that its first ‘new’ car – the Eterniti Hemera – is just a customised Porsche Cayenne. And so it is. Eterniti has release the first photos of the Hemera ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and at first view it could just as easily be a new Cayenne from Gemballa or Merdad.
