Audi to build cars that can predict the future

Audi is hoping to make traffic jams, parking and city centre navigation much easier with a new suite of technology called Audi Urban Intelligent Assist (AUIA), while Audi traffic Light Online helps you avoid red traffic lights. Combining the work of its own Electronics Research Laboratory in Silicon Valley with four leading US research universities, the eventual aim is that this new technology will essentially be able to predict the future. 'Ender's Game' Audi fleet shuttle quattro concept development revealed [w/Video]

Audi has released a short video and pictures exploring the development of the fleet shuttle quattro from the new sci-fi blockbuster 'Ender's Game'. The concept, presented as a 1:4 illuminated scale model at the movie's premiere at the Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, was first announced in August and is Audi's first car completely designed on a computer. During filming the actors drove an Audi A7 Sportback before Digital Domain – responsible for the film's special effects – used computer-generated imagery to transform it into the digital fleet shuttle Quattro in post-production.

Now the 2013 Silverstone Classic 911 Parade has happened it seems Silverstone decided to go for broke, and instead of the originally planned parade of 911 911s, they actually managed to drive 1,208 911s round the Silverstone track at the same time – a new record. As well as 1208 911s, Porsche and the organisers of the Silverstone Classic managed to entice a number of names along too, including Mark Porsche – great grandson of Porsche founder, Ferdinand Porsche – former F1 and Le Mans driver Derek Bell and Le Mans drivers John Fitzpatrick and Richard Attwood.
