SEAT hints at new Nurburgring lap record
Wed, 12 Feb 2014Repeated references to the Nurburgring during the press conference at the launch of the new SEAT Leon Cupra strongly suggest that the 280hp hot hatch has broken the front-wheel drive lap record. SEAT is waiting until the 2014 Geneva Motor Show before saying any more, but has already hinted that its new Leon Cupra is significantly faster than the current Renaultsport Megane record holder. Caterham reveals new SP/300R race car
Thu, 13 Jan 2011British specialty-car maker Caterham unveiled its new SP/300R sports prototype race car and a plan for creating a one-make series in 2012 on Thursday at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham, England. The SP/300R is powered by a supercharged 2.0-liter Ford Duratec four-cylinder engine. It produces 299 hp and 213 lb-ft of torque.
