A few weeks back we announced that Ken Block, famed for his excellent Youtube Gymkhana videos, was switching his Subaru WRX STi for a Ford Focus RS in the World Rally Championships. Today we show you the smaller 2.0-litre turbo engine Ford Fiesta rally car he'll be trialling in the American rallies. Ford Euro tuning partner Mountune sets up shop in US

U.K.-based Ford tuner Mountune is opening up a satellite location in California. The company is not well known on this side of the Atlantic, but across the pond it enjoys the status of being Ford's official European tuning partner. Mountune will be offering high-performance racing components for a number of Ford vehicles in the states, and we're excited to see what they'll be able to do with the rabid Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST models.

First Sight: Hyundai i30

Hyundai invited Car Design News for an exclusive sneak preview of the all-new i30 last week, ahead of its global debut at the Frankfurt motor show today. The event was held in Frankfurt's renowned Cocoon Club (the venue will also play host to this year's Interior Motives Awards, which takes place this coming Wednesday night), and was chosen because of its interior décor – something Hyundai's European Design Chief, Thomas Buerkle, likened to the Korean company's 'Fluidic Sculpture' design language. "We have been inspired by nature and beautiful shapes," Buerkle told the audience of journalists at the launch.
