Up for your consideration is an early (1963- 1968) cast iron cylinder head for a racing Austin Healey Sprite or MG Midget. (May fit other small 4 cylinder Austins or MGs).  Part was in a pile of dismantled early Healey engine racing pieces, it was then sandblasted clean, and finally primer painted to protect it from rust.  Perfect for any high-performance Healey/MG engine rebuild project.  Head has been professionally Magnaflux Dye-Penetrant crack tested (as shown in picture # 3).  Shows a part number of 12G202 ? - not sure? and casting mark: 12K1?   This head was professionally prepared for domed pistons and had previously been milled approx.  .040" and comes with brass rocker stand shims (pictured) to keep the valve train in good alignment.  For reference, it appears to take 1" exhaust valves and 1.25" intake valves.  The head-to-block water bypass has been welded shut and the heater core outlet has a block-off plate on it.  The combustion chambers are somewhat relieved for domed piston clearance. The valve guides are tapered for better intake and exhaust flow.  The exhaust ports are enlarged square ports.  This is a quality head that I believe was prepared back in the day by Sports Car Services of Ann Arbor, Michigan.   This is a bare head that will require your valves, springs, and a matching valve job/regrind to complete.   Paint any color that you desire.  Please see our other Italian and British car parts in our eBay store.
