The Magnetic Car Bra is made from safety-coated, flexible magnetic sheet. It is UV-resistant vinyl on the outside and magnetized rubber underneath. This material is also used for magnetic car signs and the seal around your refrigerator door.
The safety-coated material was designed to be used on cars. It will give problem-free service with much less
maintenance than conventional bras.
Conventional car bras can damage your paint. They trap road grit, and then flap and flutter in the wind, which can scratch and even wear through the paint. They also hold water, and if they are left on the car when they are wet, they can cause the paint to oxidize and fade. It is difficult and time-consuming to clean road grit from the bra and then wait
for it to dry, but the only way to prevent damage from long-term use of a conventional bra is to clean and dry it frequently - as often as every few days.
Flexible magnetic sheet forms a tight seal that keeps out most water and grit. It will not cause abrasion or oxidation. The magnetic bra can be left on a car permanently
with only a few minutes of maintenance per month. All that is required is to make sure the bra stays clean and dry underneath.
The bumpers on most cars are plastic. Unlike steel, plastic flexes and absorbs impacts. This protects the bumper from rock chips. This can be observed by
comparing the paint on the hood and bumper on older cars. Most rock chips occur on the hood. To view the difference

(Severe hood damage but bumper is OK.)
The magnetic car bra has a patented design that makes it theft-resistant and secure at any speed. A durable U-shaped edge trim covers the
leading edge and sides of the bra. This keeps wind and water out and prevents removing the bra without opening
the hood.
Flexible magnetic sheet precisely follows the contours of the hood. The finest detail will show through. It will make your car look great and with proper maintenance it will keep the paint in original condition.

2012 VW Beetle R - a Hot Beetle
However hard they tried – and they did for a while – Volkswagen never managed to make the reborn VW Beetle anything more than a novelty; a girly car with a flower vase for girly drivers. That was enough to make the Beetle sell in almost respectable numbers in both North and South America, but it consigned VW’s retro effort to the novelty bin in Europe, where we tend to know a cynical marketing ploy from a real car. But Volkswagen seem intent on making the 212 VW Beetle rather more credible.

GM are claiming 230 mpg for the Chevy Volt
The premise is that the vast majority of buyers for the Chevy Volt will do no more than 40 miles a day. Which just happens to be the range that the Volt has. So I suppose they could have worked out the cost of the electricity to fully charge the Volt, converted that in to the cost of petrol and come to the conclusion that it does 230mpg.

Bset Car Magazine's take on a new hybrid MR-2 / MR-S
The Toyota MR-2 was a much loved sports car in its day (despite the MR-2 bit sounding like ‘Sh*t’ if said in French) and lovers of the MR-2 have long bemoaned its passing. But if reports by Japan’s Best Car Magazine are to be believed, Toyota are planning a new MR-2 as a hybrid to take on the Honda CR-Z Coupe. Which does have a ring of truth to it.
