We recently acquired a large trailer load of classic car and hot rod parts from a lifetime collector and this distributor was in that batch of parts. It is a Mallory distributor and the number on the tag is YL520AV. We have done research on it, but we come up with conflicting information as to what it fits. Most of the places that sell these new say they are for marine applications, but one said it was for a 42-48 Ford, so please verify that it is what you need if you can. It has the old style of cap on it which looks to be in good condition, and I understand just the cap is worth some money on this type of distributor. It all appears to be in very good condition. It is clean with no obvious damage. I didn't remove the cap to see what was underneath, but plan on installing new points in it. Free shipping anywhere in the lower 48 United States. Int'l extra. Good luck!!

Bentley designers create one-off pieces to benefit The Prince's Trust

Tue, 30 Aug 2011

Bentley Motors graduates are to stage an auction of handcrafted collector's items in a fundraising event for The Prince's Trust. Workers from the Tooling, Woodshop and Styling teams at the manufacturer have crafted around 20 different stylish and high-end products to auction off online in aid of the UK youth charity, which is headed by the Prince of Wales and provides practical and financial support to 14 to 30-year-olds. Display items include a chess set with pieces tooled from aluminum set on a classy veneered board and a table crafted from a polished V8 engine from the Bentley Mulsanne and a cutlery set commissioned by Robert Welch, engraved with the Bentley emblem.
