Nice Mallory marine distributor model YL624MV. Removed from a 1971 boat with a 307 Small Block Chevy engine and OMC Stringer outdrive. This distributor is in excellent condition and has Magstar stainless steel ignition wires included in good condition. This distributor has very few hours on it since being installed. As you can see by the gear on the distributor, the metal is not even shiny yet. The boat was in good working condition until a tree fell on the front. The distributor and wires were not harmed by the tree since the tree fell on the front and the engine is in the rear.

As you can see by the gear on the distributor, the metal is not even shiny yet. I believe the black paint on the upper distributor body and cap was applied by Mallory since the distributor is for a marine application. The boat was in good working condition until a tree fell on the front. The distributor and wires were not harmed by the tree since the tree fell on the front and the engine is in the rear.

This is your chance to own the Mallory marine distributor your have been dreaming about at a great price. Don't miss out!

New Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive goes in to production

Sat, 12 Apr 2014

The first Mercedes B-Class ED (pictured) rolls off the production line in Rastatt With the BMW i3 grabbing headlines – and flying out of showrooms – as BMW’s first electric car, Mercedes need to play catch-up with a convincing EV of their own, and that’s the new B-Class Electric Drive – an EV version of the regular B-Class – which has now gone in to production in Germany. Built alongside regular ICE versions of the B-Class at Mercedes’ Rastatt Plant, the B-Class ED (Electric Drive) looks practically the same as its more conventionally powered siblings – although the front bumper does look a bit different – and has an electric motor good for 177 bhp and 250 lb/ft of torque, can manage a scoot to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds and has a range of up to 124 miles. The range – at least the quoted range – is a chunk better than the BMW i3′s and on a par with the latest Nissan LEAF, thanks to EV technology provided by Tesla, and the wrapping of an EV drivetrain in a conventional series production car could appeal to more buyers than the ‘statement’ design of the BMW i3.

Breedlove's Back!

Thu, 08 May 2014

Craig Breedlove, the land-speed racer who set records at over 400, 500 and 600 mph has a new race car on the drawing boards and is the feature of a couple other projects. We caught up with him recently in Los Angeles. It seems Breedlove always had a car project in the works; most recently, he took the Spirit of America Formula Shell LSRV to almost 700 mph on the Black Rock Desert in 1996.
