Performance crankshafts are designed with the highest standards in
mind. Each crankshaft is put through a multi-step heat treatment process
and nitrided (hardened) for maximum strength. The crankshaft is then
stress relieved, shot peened, and magnafluxed (stress tested). The
center, crank pin and counterweights are gun drilled for reduced weight.
Some blocks may require notching/clearancing when using stroker
crankshafts. These race series forged
crankshafts are a major improvement over the OEM piece and are built to
withstand high horsepower levels. Tue, 12 Jun 2007Frank Stephenson began his new position as Director of Design at Alfa Romeo today, CDN can reveal. Stephenson left his role as Head of the Fiat, Lancia and Commercial Vehicle Styling Center last month and is now effectively filling a role that has been unoccupied since Wolfgang Egger left to become head of Audi's Style Center. Since Lorenzo Ramaciotti has been recently appointed to a newly created position as Cheif of Design at Fiat, Stephenson's previous position is now vacant.

If the notes are genuine, they include 24 pages of writing and sketches made between October 1976 and December 1976. They're claimed to have come from the corporate records of the Delorean Motor Company, which were seized as a result of bankruptcy in the early 1980s.
