Our Pro Series "I" Beam is forged from 4340 aircraft quality vacuum degassed material. We utilize our proven "Turbo Tuff" design and add 3/8" ARP 2000 cap screws. All rods are properly shot peened after machining and 100% magnafluxed. *"I" Beam - Turbo Tuff* Manley Pro Series Turbo Tuff connecting rods are used by the best tuners in and outside of the United States in some of the fastest, high horsepower, heart stopping engines being produced. *"H" Beam - Economical* For the budget conscious enthusiast, we also offer our very high quality, yet economical, H-Beam design connecting rods. These are also manufactured from 4340 alloy forgings. They are fully machined, heat treated, stress relieved, shot peened, and magnafluxed. They also are built standard with 3/8" ARP 2000 bolts. All Manley connecting rod sets, are weight matched to ? 1.5 grams, big and small end bores are final honed to a tolerance of ? .0002", critical bend and twist attributes are held to a minimum, and exacting attention is paid to every detail by our final inspection department; thus rendering a finished product that is second to none. Thu, 28 Mar 2013The Kia CUB Concept has been revealed at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show as a four door coupe powered by Kia’s 1.6 litre Turbo. Still, the CUB is a concept so a little bending of reality is the norm, and the CUB seems a perfectly sensible concept for Kia to be delivering, tapping as it does in to car buyers’ penchant for funky urban crossovers. Although we’re not entirely sure there’s a country mile in intent between the CUB and the Kia Provo we saw at Geneva.
New Mercedes S-Class Plug-in Hybrid to debut at Frankfurt Motor Show
Fri, 05 Jul 2013The new Mercedes S-Class (pictured) will arrive with a plug-in hybrid version in September We’ve known Mercedes were planning a plug-in hybrid version of the new S-Class as far back as 2009, and it now appears it will debut – as a 2014 model – at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. When Mercedes revealed the Vision S500 Plug-in Hybrid Concept at Frankfurt in 2009, they had fitted it with a V6 petrol engine mated to a 44kw motor and a bank of lithium-ion batteries, and promised the hybrid S-Class would do 90mpg, have emissions of under 75g/km and manage 18 miles in EV mode. That means the hybrid S-Class would have performance comparable to the V8 petrol-engined S500 but attract no BIK or VED in the UK.

This is the joy of teaser shots – a supposedly exciting drip-feed of detail pictures that actually make a car’s final reveal a complete anti-climax. Take note, Mini Vision concept and Corvette Z06… Though Lexus won’t confirm as much (oh, the teases!), we’re expecting to see the hot new RC-F coupe launched at the Detroit motor show in January 2014.
