Jaguar F-Type Coupe teased again ahead of debut

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

The new Jaguar F-Type Coupe’s curves With the real F-Type about to be revealed in Los Angeles – the Jaguar F-Type Coupe – Jaguar has already started garnering interest with the first teaser photo of the F-Type Coupe. That photo showed a birds-eye view of the new F-Type Coupe – complete with panoramic glass roof – but this time Jaguar has revealed what could be the money shot – the view from the rear three quarters looking along the side of the new F-Type and highlighting its curves. It’s a view that is reminiscent of the same angle on the E-Type – no bad thing – even if we don’t expect the F-Type Coupe to keep the E-Type’s side-hinged rear hatch we saw on the C-X16 Concept.

New Jaguar XE OFFICIALLY launched – price from £27,000

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

The new Jaguar XE arrives After months of teasing, years of planning and huge sums of money spent, it’s here – the new Jaguar XE. Looking like a slightly smaller version of the XF, with an upright nose, longish bonnet, coupe-like profile and stubby tail, the XE is clearly a Jaguar – and a fairly conservative one at that – which is probably sensible when  entering such a competitive sector as the ‘Premium’ compact saloon market. But the new XE isn’t just a punt for a few sales in a new sector for Jaguar, but a car that could take Jaguar from an interesting maker of relatively low volume cars to a global ‘Premium’ car maker; nose to nose in a very competitive sector with, principally, Audi and the A4, BMW and the 3 Series and Mercedes and the C-Class.

Nissan LEAF: Nissan to extend warranty to cover battery capacity loss

Fri, 28 Dec 2012

Nissan has revealed it plans to extend the warranty on the Nissan LEAF EV to warrant against battery capacity losses. We’ve asked many times why makers of electric cars seem to believe that their batteries will continue to hold the same amount of charge as they age, especially as every battery powered gadget we’ve ever owned loses its ability to hold the same charge as every month passes, and becomes pretty useless after a couple of years hard use. But we’ve never had a sensible answer.
