This auction is for a virtually new set of Manton adjustable pushrods for an early 392" Chrysler hemi engine running a roller tappet camshaft.   These pushrods are specifically for use with stock Mopar intake rockers and Donovan exhaust rockers.  I ordered them for my vintage 1966 top fuel dragster cacklecar.  My motor then had a Crower roller cam and did use the stock Chrysler intake rockers and Donovan exhaust rockers along with Isky roller tappets.  These are what Manton refers to as Series 5 pushrods that are 3/8" diameter with 1/4" ball pin adjustable ends.  These are not set up to be used as oilers, so there is no oil hole.  I ordered them to fit my heads and camshaft with exact measurements, hence the variation in lengths.  Also when I placed the order, I added one extra pushrod for each size as a backup in the event that one may get bent, (in the first detail picture with the adjustment tips you will see that there is one unused rod in each group).  I installed them and did just one start with the motor, during which it simply idled for about 31/2 minutes.  I think I whacked the throttle maybe three times during that start, but the motor was never run under power.  During the following winter I made the decision to switch over to adjustable rockers and so these pushrods were never used again.  I am including the custom wrench I made for use in adjusting them when installed in the motor as well.   The last picture is the invoice I received and paid when I received these pushrods in September of 2014.

You have my word that these pushrods are all in virtually new condition, however you must agree that you will also be acquiring them in as is condition with no existing guarantees or warranties included.   Sale is final ~ no returns offered.

Toyoya iQ Collection & iQ for Sports at Frankfurt

Mon, 21 Sep 2009

The 'Customised' Toyota iQ for Sports Toyota claim the iQ is the world’s smallest 4 seater production car – and the may well be right. It is certainly a tiny car – but very cleverly packaged – and is in many ways the perfect city car, if a tad on the expensive side. So cleverly packaged is the iQ that Aston Martin have used it for the Cygnet, and rumour has it that BMW will use it for the i-setta range.

Toyota studies a rear-drive entry for Scion

Fri, 06 Aug 2010

Scion vice president Jack Hollis is a former Stanford and AAA baseball player who, but for an injury, coulda been a contender, coulda played in the show. He's not one to boast--he didn't tell us of his baseball days, we got it from someone else. Nonetheless, you'd imagine the 6-foot-2-inch auto exec would have a pretty good self-image.

SEMA's good, the bad and the ugly

By Phil McNamara Motor Shows 31 October 2007 07:09 Dodge Charger It's Halloween today, so we thought we’d bring you some monsters from the SEMA show. Muscle cars dominate the world's biggest automotive accessories fair, and this Dodge Charger epitomises the wild style motors that pepper SEMA's 1m square feet of show floor. Created by King of Cars.com and Vertical Doors Inc, this Charger rolls on 26-inch rims which resemble a stainless steel lemon juicer.
