I have a MAP ECU 2 engine management computer and a plug and play wiring harness. The wiring harness is wired for a 2004 Tacoma V6 5VZFE with an automatic transmission. The wiring configuration is for MAF elimination or intercept mode. I wired and tested the harness and computer, it works just doesn't fit in my plans right now, I re-geared instead of supercharging. Manuals and base tables can be found at the map ecu website. The wiring diagram on there website is for MAF elimination mode. The wiring harness that is included is slightly different to extend the operation into MAF intercept mode. |

Which explains why the relatively sensible Ford Focus is being pimped to within an inch of its life for this year’s SEMA show. The SEMA Motor Show is a trade-only gathering – despite which it gets around 50k visitors – which the organisers call the “premier automotive specialty products trade event – in the world.” It attracts trade visitors from across the globe to see parts, tools and components and the ‘SEMA’ special cars brought along by car makers and car modifiers.
Highway Code braking distances questioned
Thu, 14 Aug 2014THE ACCURACY of facts and figures in the Highway Code has been called into question after research by the RAC showed that many drivers underestimate official stopping distances. As part of the organisation's Report on Motoring 2014, drivers were asked to identify the Highway Code's stated stopping distances from different speeds, but the majority “seriously underestimated” the figures. However, a separate survey by Right Driver of 1,000 Advanced Driving Instructors (ADIs) revealed that the vast majority strongly believe that the official braking distances have become irrelevant and should be updated.
