For nearly 100 years, inventors, entrepreneurs and men in sheds have been attempting to combine the car with an aeroplane, with the ultimate aim of creating a car that flies. Yet the flying car still remains the reserve of science fiction films and action movies. But wait.

The Best (and worst!) of France and Italy

Call this the gathering of cars you're amazed even started. Yet, there were over 300 of them by 11:00 a.m., spread all over the lawn and under the trees in Woodley Park in Van Nuys, Calif. for the annual Best of France and Italy car show.

Strate College degree show 2009

Graduating students from Strate College in Paris, France displayed their final projects in a degree show held at the school's temporary facility late last month. Founded in 1993, the school has outgrown its rented facility and is in the process of relocating to a new purpose-built facility, which will be completed at the start of the next school year. Of the 60 students studying various disciplines, the design exhibition also included the works of 16 students in the Transportation Mobility program.
