The system was already installed on a used Catalina 30 sailboat that I purchased two years ago.  It was in service by the previous owner of the boat on Lake Michigan from 2000 to 2011.  The original cost from West Marine was about $1650.  I removed it because it wasn't needed here in North Dakota.

The photos included were taken this summer when I finally got around to getting it set up for testing in the basement.  Both the heating and cooling cycles worked well.

I am also including the circulating pump (Cal Pump PC-400, 110 VAC), documentation, and the system thermostat.  You'll need a strainer, hoses, wiring, and ductwork for the complete installation.

Shipping weight is approximately 77 Lbs.

GM transplants Chevrolet Volt technology into the Cadillac ELR hybrid

One of the headliners of the 2009 Detroit auto show, the Cadillac Converj concept, will become production reality. Cadillac confirmed some details on Wednesday afternoon and said that the coupe will be called the ELR. It will use a T-shaped lithium-ion battery pack, and a generator kicks on to extend range, similar to the Chevrolet Volt.

Ford Fiesta “Centura” – 100 years of Ford UK

Mon, 08 Aug 2011

Ford Fiesta Centura Ford isn’t a British company – even if many of us think of Ford as a patriotic buy – although they’ve been in the UK for 100 years. And to celebrate that landmark they’ve revealed the Ford Fiesta Centura, a limited edition of just 1,000 cars. Based on the Fiesta 1.25 Zetec, the Fiesta Centura gets £600 worth of extras – metallic paint (Panther Black only), chrome mirrors, 16″ alloys, auto lights and wipers, rear parking sensors, reversing camera and LED running lights – and costs £13,395 for the three-door and £13,995 for the five door.

Concept Car of the Week: Citroën Zabrus (1986)

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

Designed by Marcello Gandini for Bertone, the quirky BX proved to be a big success for Citroën. Eager to improve its brand image and to boost its already healthy sales figures, the brand put the popular BX on steroids and entered the World Rally Championship. Unfortunately the beefed-up BX 4TC didn't shine on the rally stage and despite a powerful engine, the road-going version didn't sell well either.
