CAR interviews Patrick le Quément on Renault design (2009)
Wed, 29 Apr 2009By Richard Yarrow Motor Industry 29 April 2009 16:05 Patrick le Quément, 64, has steered Renault through one of its most interesting – some would say controversial – design phases in its history. Born in Marseilles but educated from the age of 12 in the UK, he speaks almost accentless English and agrees to talk to CAR on the eve of his retirement. Le Quément is one of those designers who’s achieved stellar recognition over the past two decades – matching the reputation of Chris Bangle and J Mays as a member of the design A-list, that exclusive club who’ve helped shape the modern motor car as we know it today.
New Bentley Continental Flying Spur: Official +video
Wed, 20 Feb 2013The new 2013 Bentley Continental Flying Spur has been officially revealed ahead of its public debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The new Flying Spur is, as we saw yesterday, subtly updated with a bolder and sharper design that has turned the Flying Spur from a great car with so-so looks in to an even greater car with very good looks indeed. The effect of the restyling of the front and back has been to give the Flying Spur a much punchier look, with the new grill, new headlights and LEDs and, most importantly, a much better defined rear end with strong defining lines making the Flying Spur look sharper, wider and more aggressive.
Jaguar E-Types on track at the Goodwood Revival 2011

Despite still being probably the most iconic car ever made it’s finally reached middle-age, with the big 5-0 arriving in March at Geneva. Understandably, Jaguar has made the most of the anniversary of the E-Type by rolling out E-Types at every event they could, but perhaps the most appropriate event for the E-Type to headline at has been this weekend’s Goodwood revival, a veritable cornucopia of nostalgic and historic motoring goodness.
