The Hybrid Synergy Drive tech from the Prius has squeezed under the bonnet of the Auris to make a new, cleaner hatch and extend the Japanese firm’s lead in petrol-electric tech. It won’t be just a battery-powered Auris on show, however.

Tech boss Roberto Fedeli told us how Ferrari had calculated the Speciale would be an even higher performer: 10% lighter, 11% faster response, 40% quicker through the gearbox, and squeezing out an extra 34bhp from its 4.5-litre V8. Since then, we’ve driven the 202mph 458 Speciale, which Ferrari claims is different (not better than) a 458 Italia, and designed to appeal to a different kind of customer.
Vauxhall Corsa Black Edition revealed with new 1.4 litre turbo
Fri, 22 Jun 2012Vauxhall has launched a new limited edition Corsa – the Black Edition – featuring a new 1.4 litre Turbo petrol with 118bhp. The Vauxhall Corsa Black Edition is, say Vauxhall, initially limited to just 500 units. Which does tend to suggest that if it sells, the Black Edition will join the regular Corsa Range.
