Hello,
I am offering a new out of the box 10.4" extreme duty monitor for extreme marine applications. This model has a production date of June 2010 but it was never used. This was part of an asset sale from an EV company that went out of business last year. I was not able to find the exact information on this monitor due to it being about 5 years ago. The company marine pc is still in business and making very expensive comparable items. I understand this cost the EV company near $5k so the price I am offering is very fair.

Military Grade Extreme Duty
      waterproof Ultrabright
      computer and Video Monitor
The MPC-10VR Series is a 2nd generation Military Grade marine flat panel
active Matrix LCD Monitor designed for rugged use where environmental
conditions and operational reliability are beyond normal limits. The MPC-
10VR is designed to meet applicable military standards MIL-STD-810G,
MIL-STD-461E and others. The MPC-10VR is available in 8.4”, 10.4”,
12.1” and 15.0” sizes and has an extremely bright up to 1,000 nit display
for use full sunlight but dimmable to under 1 nit for use on blackout nights
without destroying the user’s night vision. The MPC-ML2VR is also available
to authorized users with MIL-STD-3009 NVIS Red/Green for use with NVG’s.
This results in the maximum in readability in any situation. Front mounted
display setup and dimming control adjusts the display qualities and brightness
with pushbutton simplicity. The MPC-10VR connects to any standard RGB
video source such as the VGA output of a PC, and to up to three RS-170
NTSC/PAL composite video inputs. Fully sealed MIL-C circular connectors
on the rear allow for connection to a custom cable or to our standard 3m.
power and video cables (ordered separately), and selaed BNC connectors
for the video inputs.
The 10VR has a front mounted source button to allow
sequential display of all sources connected. Any other input can be selected
for display with the built-in Picture-in-Picture feature. The native resolution is
XGA 1024x768 (800x600 for the 8.4”), but the MPC-10VR will auto-scale a
4:3 input resolution to fit full screen. The optional touch screen will operate
prefectly even in the wettest conditions. The normal operating temperature
range of -40 to 70°C (-40 to 158°F) is accomplished without heaters. The
precision milled aluminum case is the smallest possible allowing mounting
where others can’t fit. Our sealed construction eliminates fogging and will
normally give years of service with the roughest handling. Mounting is
accomplished via a shock resistant adjustable ball mount, surface mount with
rear studs, or ordered with the optional flush bezel. Common applications
include primary display or repeater from a computer, chart plotter, blackbox
radar, sounder or weather computer, and video inputs from thermal imaging,
light amplified, daylight and/or underwater cameras.

50 Jaguar E-Types in convoy through London

Mon, 06 Jun 2011

The E-Type Convoy through London - in the rain This isn’t the first story we’ve run this year with ’50′ and Jaguar E-Type in the headline, and it’s a safe bet won’t be the last either. Unless you’ve been in Motoring purdah for the whole of 2011, you’ll know that this year is the 50th anniversary of the debut of the Jaguar E-Type at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, and Jaguar are making the most of the anniversary at every step. But this time it’s not Jaguar who are making the most of the E-Type’s birthday, it’s the organisers of the 2011 Motorexpo in Canary Wharf, who’ve teamed up with the Jaguar’s Driving Club to drive fifty E-Types across London and out to Canary Wharf to kick of this year’s show.
