Caterham to take on Cayman, Evora

Thu, 10 Jan 2013

With the increased visibility brought to enthusiast-secret Caterham via their Formula One team, it only makes sense to diversify the company's offerings. Though they've diverged from the Seven-only path a couple of times before -- with the limited-production 21 in the mid-'90s and the more recent SP/300.R, a track-only collaboration with Lola -- this time they're taking aim at higher-volume prey. Porsche makes £14k on every car it sells, Bentley makes £12.7k

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Porsche made £14k on every car sold in 2013 If you need an illustration of how much more profitable high-end sports and luxury cars are than mainstream cars, VW Groups sales figures demonstrate it perfectly. At the extreme ends of the profit per car spectrum, Porsche made an enviable £13,931 for every car it sold in 2013 and VW made just £615 (although SEAT actually lost £330 on every car it sold) . In fact, although you might expect the higher-priced Bentley range to make more per car than a Porsche, Bentley only managed a creditable second place on VW Group’s profit per car table, turning in £12,700 profit for every car it turned out (11,000 of them in 2013).

Rolls Royce Wraith for Forza 5 – the first video game Rolls Royce

Wed, 13 Aug 2014

The Rolls Royce Wraith joins Forza If you play Forza Motorsport 5 for Xbox One, you have the choice of seemingly endless cars and tracks in wonderful detail, with the focus on performance and thrills. So a Rolls Royce may not seem the most obvious choice of a Forza car, but with RR’s belief that the new Wraith offers a great driving – and luxury – option, they’ve taken the step of joining the world of video games. Developed by Turin 10 Studios, Forza Motorsport 5 gets an all-new graphics engine that brings realism to a new level, and that suits the Rolls Royce Wraith just fine.
