BMW is getting ready to launch its next-generation compact SUV, the X3, and it will ride--as most BMWs and Minis sold today--on run-flat tires. Of all the companies producing cars today, BWM has embraced run-flat technology like no other. Chevrolet with the Corvette, and some Lexus models, among others, use run-flats in certain applications.

Chrysler's heavy-duty Ram pickups are on the way to dealers

Chrysler's Ram line of 2010 heavy-duty pickups, the first new vehicles to debut since the automaker emerged from bankruptcy in June, will begin arriving in dealerships within three weeks. They are also the first products launched under the new Ram brand since Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne split the Dodge car and Dodge Ram truck lines. The brands are now run as separate businesses, with their own profit and loss accountability.

Audi revealed its 700-hp Sport Quattro concept at the Frankfurt motor show in September; the car pays homage to the classic rallying Sport Quattro from the 1980s. The video shows the Quattro whipping and gripping through a forest/mountain stage.
