Used set of 3 original Maserati Biturbo alloy wheels, size is 6"x14" with 6mm offset & a 4x98mm bolt pattern (which is the same bolt pattern as on 1970's-1980's Fiat/Lancia cars). Fair/good condition overall, will need refinishing due to faded/weathered paint. I had planned on using these on my Fiat, but have decided to go with another wheel design instead. If you're wanting a 4th wheel to complete the set, there are often 2-3 different single wheels currently listed on eBay at varying prices (that's where I was going to buy my wheel #4).

I rescued these 3 particular wheels from a wrecked Biturbo because, although they need a little cosmetic help (sanding/mediablasting & new paint), they were otherwise in good structural shape & fairly damage-free. Most of the Biturbo wheels I've found have heavy curb rash or deep scratches/nicks/gouges on them, or are dinged/bent from hard curb contact (that was the case with the 4th wheel on this particular car, & why I left it for dead). Below, I've gone wheel-by-wheel for a little more detail showing the front face, any nicks/curb rash & the interior tire-bead/seating area of each one, in order to hopefully eliminate any "surprises".

Wheel #1; good shape overall with no curb rash, one 1/2" nick & 2 flat scrapes along the rim (from a clumsy tire-jockey when I had the tires removed). The tire bead area will need to be cleaned, as there's a bit of old rubber debris from a really old tire (this was the spare tire, probably the original tire for the car!) & dried-up tire sealant goop which is kinda like dried-up contact cement/glue (it looks a lot worse in the photo than it actually is):

Wheel #2; good condition, a small patch of light curb rash (hard to photograph), 2 small nicks on the front rim & 2 nicks from a metal wheel weight that was carelessly yanked off of the rear rim, about halfway up from my thumb in photo #4 (tire-jockey strikes again):

Wheel #3; fair/good condition overall, some light curb rash randomly spread around the outer rim (easy fix with some careful filing):

Each wheel weigh about 13lbs.-2oz., so a package of 3 would weigh about 46lbs. or so & box size would be approximately 23"x17.5"x17.5".

All items are in the exact condition described & as shown in the photos - what you see is what you get. Please review the entire auction listing & all pictures carefully FIRST, & then bid accordingly. Due to eBay's ridiculous selling fee structure (based on item cost PLUS shipping cost) & the high cost of shipping outside of the USA, International shipping will no longer be offered on any of my items - DOMESTIC SHIPPING ONLY (ie: within USA only).

Buyer to pay for insured shipping via USPS Standard Post with Tracking (or via UPS Ground or Fed-Ex Ground/Home Delivery if cheaper). I will gladly package multiple auction items together to save on shipping costs, if possible. Payment to be received within 4 days of receipt of auction invoice, otherwise the item may be offered to the next-highest bidder or simply relisted. Thanks for viewing my auction & good luck on your bidding!

Autoweek Best of the Best/Truck - Chevrolet Silverado

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

When we first saw the new Chevy Silverado, we thought, “Hmmm, styling's conservative, interior quality looks a bit better … these things better drive well or Chevy's in a heap of trouble.” No doubt, the new Silverado is an outstanding full-size pickup, so much so we put one on our June 24 cover and said that it was “more refined than ever.”And that's really the story here. In our Best of the Best testing, we found the Silverado to be as quiet, refined and smooth as one could ask from a full-size pickup. Testers also were impressed with the body control (for a large truck) and outstanding ride.

Honda CR-Z Hybrid – Tokyo reveal

Wed, 21 Oct 2009

The hybrid Honda CR-Z revealed at Tokyo Although we are on record as not being huge fans of the Honda Insight - Toyota’s saloon hybrid – the CR-Z does look much more promising. You can think of it as an Eco replacement for the successful CR-X of years gone by. But Honda are all too well aware of the major criticisms of the Insight and have taking steps to make the CR-Z more appealing to drive.

Mercedes revealed the all new SL roadster – the first new Mercedes SL in a decade – just before Christmas, but it’s taken almost six months more to find out what it’s going to cost in the UK. With the first SLs arriving on our shores in June, Mercedes couldn’t really have left it much later to let customers know that the entry-level point for the new SL goodness is going to be £72,495 for the BlueDIRECT 3.5 litre V6 SL 350, rising to £83,445 for the 4.7 litre BlueDIRECT V8 SL 500.
