Audi to build cars that can predict the future

Audi is hoping to make traffic jams, parking and city centre navigation much easier with a new suite of technology called Audi Urban Intelligent Assist (AUIA), while Audi traffic Light Online helps you avoid red traffic lights. Combining the work of its own Electronics Research Laboratory in Silicon Valley with four leading US research universities, the eventual aim is that this new technology will essentially be able to predict the future. Caterham Seven 160 launches as a back to basics Seven The promise of 80bhp from a tiny Suzuki 3-cylinder turbo engine may not sound the perfect recipe for a fun little sports car, but wrapped up in the ‘back to basics’ Caterham Seven 160 it very well could be. Caterham has revealed details of their new entry-level Seven – called 160 – after a tease earlier in the year, which comes with the aforementioned Suzuki 3-pot engine which is powerful enough to promise brisk acceleration of 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds. Caterham has stripped the 160 back to the bone with very low weight, it gets a five-speed manual – from Suzuki but tweaked by Caterham – and a live rear axle.

Citroen C-Cactus Concept will form the basis of a new range of Citroen Eco-Cars The first of the new range will be based on the existing C4, but feature bodywork based on the C-Cactus Concept (but a wee bit prettier, we hope) and featuring a range of green and economical propulsion systems. Under consideration are an electric version (EV),  a  form of hybrid technology or simply lopping a cylinder off and aiming to bring the Co2 down to under 100g/km. So that will give Citroen three distinct ranges.
