I recently purchased a 2002 Miata that had a Racing Beat intake installed. The original airbox was not with the car so I purchased a couple of boxes on ebay to recreate the stock system. These are the parts I had left over. What you see is what you get. I believe the air intake tube came off a 99-00 vehicle. It will fit 99-05. Later models had another chamber attached to the middle of the tube.

The airbox is fine other than some cosmetic scratches on the exterior. The latches work fine.

Geneva Motor Show 2007 Trends and Overview

Wed, 28 Mar 2007

Geneva is always one of the best shows to visit - it's easy to get to from the airport or city centre, it's more compact than the other major auto shows, it's well attended by car designers and there are a lot of new designs to enjoy. This year there were at least 14 significant new production debuts, a similar number of concept cars and, for a change, the weather was more spring like than winter... The core reaction from the designers we spoke to at the show was that there were no really very exceptional new cars at the show - the Hyundai HED-4 Qarmaq concept, Mazda Hakaze concept and Maserati GranTurismo being the possible exceptions.

Mini takes to the field for London 2012

Mon, 06 Aug 2012

Although there’s no motorsport in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Mini will be making an appearance during the track and field events in the Olympic stadium. A fleet of three remote-controlled, quarter-scale Mini Cooper JCWs are charged with retrieving javelins, discus, shot and hammer, and will cover around 6000 metres per day while on duty. Each ‘mini Mini’ has a potential payload of 8kg, and will be operated by specially-trained ‘Games Makers’.
