Up for auction is this very nice used copy of "Mazda Miata Performance Handbook" by Norman H. Garrett III. The author is a former Mazda/Miata project engineer. This manual is published by MBI Publishing Company, in 1998. There are 16 chapters in this book--(1) The Miata Development Story, (2)Driving A Miata (fast),(3)Modification Issues, (4) Wheels And Tires, (5) Suspension And Parts, (6)Brakes,(7) Engine Overview, (8) Ignition, (9) Induction System Improvement, (10) Exhaust System. (11)Internal Engine Modifications. (12) Drivetrain, (13)Forced Induction, (14) Racing A Miata, (15) Appearance Items, and (16) Mentionable Miatas. There is also an introduction, as well as a Sources section and Index. There is a total of 160 pages, with a wealth of information to go along with the many photographs. It seems to target the earlier years of this car's production. If you have one of these cars and are looking to make some performance improvements to it, or are planning to road race a Miata, then this is the book you need. I think this manual has been reissued a time or two, with a different front and back cover, but the one I am putting up for auction here today is in very good condition.
I took the liberty to see if any others are listed on E-bay, and I did find a new one listed for $139.00. Additionally I also found that there is a used one as well, for $39.95. It is my wish to see this manual go to an enthusiast who is looking to do some neat things with his Miata--whether it be for competition or just making a Miata more fun to drive on a daily basis. With that in mind, I am starting the bidding on this manual at $12.95 plus $3.25 for shipping via USPS Media Mail. As this is a used book, I am listing it as such, and do not imply any warranty or return policy--I am figuring that the winning bidder will make the purchase knowing what he is wanting and getting, and will no doubt be pleased when this item arrives. However, please contact me if there are any issues. Winning bidder is asked to remit PayPal payment within 72 hours of auction's close, and I will ship out within 3 business days of receiving cleared payment. Please no international buyers---US bidders only. If there are any questions, please contact me before bidding, and I will answer just as soon as I can. Thanks, and have a great day!!!

Its length has increased by 18mm and its drag coefficient drops to 0.38 – down from 0.43 – which will help with economy. And Kia says that the new Sorento has been set up to be more road-biased, without losing any of the Sorento’s off-road ability.
Peugeot Exalt Concept: OFFICIAL
Thu, 10 Apr 2014The Peugeot Exalt Concept (pictured) now officially revealed We had the first photo of the Peugeot Exalt Concept earlier in the week, but now Peugeot has caught up with that reveal and released a gallery of photos of the Exalt and details too. With strong design hints from Peugeot’s Onyx Concept – like the long bonnet, short overhangs, bold wheel-arches and crisp lines – the Exalt appears to be a five-door hatch even though it looks like a four-door swoopy coupe. Peugeot has hand-made the bare metal body panels of the Exalt and covered it in part with a ‘Shark Skin’ material which is said to improve aerodynamics and fuel consumption.
The new Honda Insight hybrid is shown at the Detroit auto show
Sun, 11 Jan 2009The new Honda Insight was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show To hear Honda tell it, the new 2010 Insight coming to market this April is all about making hybrid technology available to Gen-Y. That's because it's smaller and less expensive than the class-leading Toyota Prius or Honda's own Civic Hybrid. We drove the Insight in Arizona recently and found it also more fun to drive than most hybrids, another attribute that ranks high among young buyers.
