Peugeot 308 wins European Car of the Year 2014

The new family hatchback fought off competition from the likes of the tech tour de force Mercedes S-class and slick-driving new Mazda 3 to take the gong. The 308 also bested BMW’s i3 EV, which won the UK Car of the Year award, and the acclaimed Tesla Model S electric saloon.

Having made that decision – and released a few photos of the Giulietta last month – Alfa has decided to ramp up the interest in their new baby ahead of the debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Hammer Falls On Record Silverstone Auctions Sale
Tue, 29 Jul 2014RECORDS were broken at the recent Silverstone Auctions event, as the two day sale generated more than £5 million and secured some of the highest prices seen to date. One highlight of the sale was a 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS, which was hammered away for a premium inclusive £82,225 - more than £50,000 over its lower estimate and a world record for the model. Not to be outdone, a 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS sold for a premium inclusive £77,050, breaking another world record.
