Common RX8 climate control unit failures:

Hot or Cold Air intermittently or stuck on Hot or Cold.

Here is the factory test for the RX8 heater control internal circuits:

Ignition ON.
Radio ON.
Hold down radio power button and press SCAN UP button.
Display will show TEMP wih a number from 0 to 16.
When the heater control temp dial is at max cold it should show 0.
When slowly turned to hot it should smoothly climb to 16.

If this does not happen, the temp control head is 
faulty and needs to be repaired.

Reventon #20 being delivered in Houston Car #20 was in fact delivered to Houston Lamborghini a short while ago. We already knew the stories were wrong when we saw them as John, one of our co-owners, knows the General Manager there, and he knew that car #20 was destined for a private collector in the States. It was delivered to him about 10 days ago.

Alex Mair, retired head of GM technical staff, Pontiac and GMC, dies

Alex Mair, former group executive in charge of General Motors' technical staffs and general manager of the automaker's Pontiac and GMC divisions, died Sunday in Orange City, Fla. He was 91. Mair was named group executive of GM's technical staffs in November 1978 and remained in that position until he retired in 1986.
