Aston Martin flies the new Lagonda to Muscat with Oman Air Back in July, Aston Martin confirmed the revival of Lagonda with a short run of a Lagonda Super Saloon to be sold exclusively in the Middle East. At that time, all we had was a dark photo showing the new Lagona’s silhouette but now, as Aston start to test the new Lagonda, we get a proper photo (above and below). Nissan has revealed that it plans to install an electronic steer-by-wire system in to its Infiniti models in 2013. As car makers seek to squeeze every last fraction of a mile out of their cars to hit economy and emissions targets, computer control of many of a car’s functions are controlled by computer, which means the official tests for economy and emissions can be guaranteed to produce predictable results. Now Nissan are to take electronic steering to its logical conclusion by eliminating any direct connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels (except in an emergency) with the first fly-by-wire steering system in a production car.

Fuel protests halt Spanish car production

Seat, Citroen Peugeot, Ford, Nissan, Renault and Mercedes-Benz all have factories in Spain and most said they were affected.Seat production slashed by 40 percentSeat said its main Martorell plant was operating at 40 percent capacity, with production of the Leon and Altea models severely affected. However, the protests won’t delay sales of the new Ibiza, a spokesman promised, and assembly of cars in the factory is expected to return to normal this week.
