Up for bids here is a set of McGaughy’s Classic Drop spindles for Chevy C10 lowered truck project.  These were originally purchased last year for a 1971 Chevy C20 Camper Special project we were trying to do.  But as it turned out, we found out the hard way that the C10 stuff does not work for C20 due to the spring / sway bar support configuration.  These are being sold as a matched set and are in pristine condition since they never even made it into the project truck we were restoring.

Our loss is your gain as we are trying to recoup some small amount of what we had to pay for these.  So we are selling this two piece set of drop spindles at no reserve as is price with no returns accepted.  Here is a chance to get the parts you need to complete your lowered Chevy C10 project at half the price of other retail units.   Shipping will be calculated on distance to buyers location and choice of shipping method is available as we combine for multiple purchases.  Good luck bidding and check out my other auctions for more Chevy C10 parts and accessories.

Vintage photos show Ford Mustang I and the elusive XD Cobra

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

It's hardly surprising that our readers want to share their memories of the Ford Mustang -- 50 years is a long time for an automotive nameplate to endure, and the model's upcoming 50th anniversary is as good excuse as any to look back on the experiences that have made the car an enthusiast hit. Take William Drew, who had a close encounter with pony car history when he saw the Mustang I concept, plus a rare Ghia-bodied Shelby Cobra concept, at an auto dealer in Dallas in 1970. His slides (taken with a Yashica camera, he notes) show the unusual cars in the nice, bright colors of Kodachrome.

Ironically, head of design Dirk van Braeckel, has subsequently moved to a different department within the VW Group.

Next Mustang to feature global design input, Ford says

Wed, 02 Mar 2011

Ford Motor Co.'s design studios worldwide will provide styling ideas for an American icon: the next generation Mustang. "It is a common process we [now] use on every vehicle," Derrick Kuzak, Ford's group vice president for global product development, said Tuesday at the Geneva auto show. Ford's next-generation pony car will be the first Mustang with styling themes proposed by studios in Europe, Australia and other regions.
