So now it’s time for some updates. The facelift for the 508 covers all three models in the 508 range – saloon, estate (SW) and the high-riding 508 RX – and mainly comprises of new bumpers front and back, new LED lights front and back, a re-profiled bonnet and a new grill with the Peugeot Lion front and centre.
Classic BMW takes Best of Show at Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance
Mon, 07 Nov 2011A 1937 BMW 328 Roadster owned by Lothar Schuettler of Darnestown, Md., took Best of Show honors at the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d'Elegance. The Sunday concours, which had BMW as the honored marque, wrapped up a weeklong event that included the Savannah Speed Classic vintage races in nearby Savannah, Ga., a tour around Hilton Head by concours entrants, a Motoring Midway and a Car Club Jamboree on Saturday featuring exhibits from car clubs from around the country. The 328 Roadster was first owned by German race driver Baron Fritz Huschke von Hanstein and is one of only 18 cars that were painted black that year.
Dakar Rally 2012 Day 3 update
Tue, 03 Jan 2012American Robby Gordon continues to hold second place overall at the completion of day three of the 2012 Dakar. Hummer driver Gordon, vying to make up for the delays suffered on Monday, completed the 129 competitive miles between San Rafael and San Juan in the Argentine Andes with the fifth-fastest time. His teammate and defending Dakar champion Nasser Al-Attiyah was third-quickest and moves into sixth position overall, having dropped precious time on day one with a loss of oil pressure.
