Here is a new custom solo seat loosely designed around the old '54 and up Harley K model solo seats. This one measures 16-1/2" long by 13" wide. The steel base plate has a 2-1/2" channel welded to the nose for T-bar type mounting, but can also be mounted with standard nose brackets. Seat springs can also be attached on 2 tapped bosses at the rear on 6-1/2" centers left to right. Thick padding measures 1-1/2" to 2-1/2" and is covered in black leather like vinyl. Mounting brackets, 2", 3", 4", 5" springs and all sorts of other seat do-dads are available on our other auctions and in our eBay store. Many are available with no additional S&H charges when bought in conjunction with a seat, so check them out.

SHIPPING CHARGES and POLICY..........................................

Buyer pays calculated shipping charges.

Domestic Shipping.........................................................

Save with combined shipping and handling.
U.S.A. orders pay half the S&H charge for each additional item.

Shipping calculator may show some variances with multiple purchases. If you are unsure of the appropriate discount, please request an invoice from us.

Shipping will be by UPS or USPS at our discretion. If one or the other is inconvenient, please notify us with questions before payment. Please keep in mind that a surcharge may apply with an alternative method. If express shipping is desired, please contact us. Surcharges will apply. Surcharges may also apply to bigger packages shipped to APOs.

International Shipping...........................................................

Save with combined shipping and handling.
Most global orders will receive reduced shipping charges for each additional item.

Shipping calculator may not show appropriate discount for multiple purchases. You may e-mail for a quote or, if already purchased, you can request an invoice through the eBay check-out procedure.

Shipping will be by USPS. If this is inconvenient, notify us before payment. Please keep in mind that a surcharge may apply with alternative methods. If express shipping is desired, please contact us. Surcharges will apply. Fixed global shipping charges are generally based on actual USPS charges for airmail plus insurance. A handling fee is included to cover export preparation and document fees, currency conversion fees, postal procedures, etc. This fee is usually $5-$7 per package. If this is a problem for you, there is a simple solution: Buy more than one item at a time! Usually many compatible items will fit in the same package. Combined shipping not only decreases the shipping per item, it decreases the handling charge per item also. Sorry, surface mail is no longer available.

Automotive Press Association Design Panel says autonomous cars will tear up design rulebook [w/Video]

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

Fully autonomous cars will challenge everything we know about car design to date, according to industry experts at the Michelin Challenge Design-hosted Automotive Press Association (APA) Design Panel. The APA members-only event, held at the Detroit Athletic Club, carried the theme of 'Driven/Undriven: The Duality of Tomorrow's Automobile' – the subject of this year's Michelin Challenge Design – and explored the design challenges and opportunities that will arise with the advent of autonomous vehicles. The APA Design Panel consisted of Jim Hall of 2953 Analytics, Chris Borroni-Bird, vice president of Strategic Development at Qualcomm and author of Reinventing the Automobile: Personal Urban Mobility of the 21st Century as well as Stewart Reed, chair of the Transportation Design course at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

Hyundai i30 3-Door looks good: Paris 2012

Fri, 28 Sep 2012

The public debut of the slightly racy looking Hyundai i30 3-Door at the Paris 2012 shows it to be a convincing looking car. Sleeker and more sporty looking than its five door sibling, the 3-door i30 (we’ve said it before, it should be i30 Coupe) offers all the well-built, well thought out and decent looks of the 5-door version, but with a bit more panache. What it’s crying out for, though, is something a bit more interesting under the bonnet and the option of some nice alloys and a few subtle body modifications; perhaps a small spoiler at the back, some subtly bigger sills, more butch bumpers and a small ride height drop?

Audi A7 Sportback – the video

Thu, 29 Jul 2010

The Audi A7 Sportback - Walkthrough video below Somehow the Audi A7 just didn’t look as dynamic as expected. I know, production cars are usually a letdown compared to the concept, but the A7 didn’t actually have any of those massively mad bits concept cars boast – 24″ wheels, sliding doors, glass everything – it just looked good. Somehow it seems much more lumpy now we get to see the production model.
