Megan Racing Turbo Manifolds are made with T-304 stainless steel and utilize mandrel bent piping with CNC Machined Flanges. Each set is tested and dynoed to make sure the fitment and performance meet our goal. Each header comes with 1-year warranty.

Specifications:

- Fits USDM 2003+ Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 8

- T-304 Stainless Steel with a Polished finish

- 1.75" primary tubes

- Direct bolt-on, improves exhaust flow to improve performance

- Dynoed with 15 hp and 20 torque increase

TUNING NOTES: Not recommended for use with SAS systems when equipped due to extra stress exerted onto the exhaust manifold when the SAS valve is activated. Once activated, it results in a quick rise of turbo temperature, 800 to 1100 degrees C. The SAS is an anti-lag system and only present on the the homologation models (JDM) only later few edm models (the 260).

- Most customers, due to ease of installation and weight reduction purposes, choose to remove the EGR system completely rather than trying to keep it in tact.

- The EGR valve is a circuit designed to reduce emissions. When combustion temperatures exceed 2500 degrees F, atmospheric nitrogen reacts with oxygen which results in NOX, a major contributor to air pollution. The EGR valve recirculates part of these combustion gasses (when the valve opens) back into the intake manifold to dilute incoming air fuel ratios resulting in less emissions, decreased octane requirements due to less potential for pre-detonation and ultimately for the emissions-concerned consumer, keeping NOX within acceptable limits. 8/10/2012 -AU

Sat, 19 Jul 2014

It looks like the Bentley Mulsanne Speed is on the way, and maybe a Mulsanne Coupe too? Even the very top end car makers are finding that buyers are willing to pay more for more driver-focused versions of the their cars, with even Rolls Royce churning out the Wraith- a Ghost Coupe –  to tempt buyers. And now it looks like Bentley are going to extend their Speed versions from the Continental range to the Mulsanne.

Honda back in F1 as engine supplier to McLaren from 2015

Thu, 16 May 2013

We reported that Honda were looking likely to be heading back in to F1 as engine supplier to McLaren nearly two years ago, and this morning Honda has confirmed they have formed a joint project with McLaren to supply engines and energy recovery systems to McLaren from 2015 in a joint project with the McLaren team becoming McLaren Honda. The new F1 partnership revives a very successful period for McLaren when it last used Honda engines and Prost and Senna dominated F1 with Honda powered McLarens, and fits in nicely with Honda’s return to making supercars with the new Honda NSX. Formula One engines will drop to a 1.6 litre V6 in 2015 – with a turbo – and it will be very easy for parallels to be drawn with the V6 hybrid plant Honda are using on the new NSX, which is going to do its credibility no harm whatsoever.

Second new London taxi of 2014 unveiled

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

LONDONERS had better prepare themselves for another new generation of taxi, just days after Nissan confirmed its own assault on the Black Cab market. The plug-in hybrid Fraser-Nash Range Extended Electric Metrocab is capable of more than 75mpg and less than 50g/km of CO2, and is expected to cost no more than a current Hackney carriage. The company says the vehicle could save cabbies £30 to £40 per day in running costs and can go longer between fill-ups.
