V3 Microsquirt EFI Controller

Version 3.0 MicroSquirt EMS is a full stand-alone engine management system for your cycle, ATV, boat, personal water-craft, snow machine, or car.

Details:

  • 13-piece kit ships complete with:
    1-Microsquirt ECU
    1-4 foot wiring harness
    1-USB cable
    1-3-bar MAP sensor
    1-MAP sensor connector
    1-Intake air temperature sensor
    1-Intake air temp connector
    1-Coolant temperature sensor
    1-Coolant temp connector
    4-EV1 injector connectors
  • Waterproof case.
  • Dual VR/Hall inputs with adaptive noise filtering.
  • 2 0-5v Logic level ignition outputs.
  • Dual Spark capability: ability to use two inputs and two outputs for ignition.
  • No pulse width modulation (PWM) to limit injector current. The fuel injector drives will max out at 5 amps each, enough to drive one low-impedance (or 4 high-impedance) injector per bank. To get everything to fit without lots of heat sinking, MicroSquirt® uses the ST VND5N07 from STMicroelectronics to drive the injectors. This is not a ‘peak and hold’ driver, but it does clamp the current at 5 amps, so it can be used with one low-impedance injector per bank, however the close time may be a tad higher (or you can use resistors). For up to 4 high-impedance injectors per bank, it should work fine. For example, for motorcycle use MicroSquirt® will be perfect!
  • No stepper IAC control: PWM Idle valves, as well as on/off idle valves, can be used.
  • The MicroSquirt® board uses the sealed 35-pin AMPSEAL connector. The board is the physical size of a business card – connector and all. A MicroSquirt® EFI controller’s board size, including the 35-pin AMPSEAL connector, is very small – 2.4″ x 3.5″ (61mm x 89mm), just slightly bigger than a credit card.
  • Pre-loaded code: comes with the embedded code already loaded onto the processor. You can upgrade to newer versions of the code as they are released, but you won’t have to load the code initially to get MicroSquirt® working.
  • Utilizes EFI Analytics Tuner Studio software (freeware)
  • Genuine B&G computer module, built in USA

Terms & Conditions:

  • Item ships within two business days of payment, FOB Blackfoot, Idaho, USA.
  • Returns for refund accepted as requested within 30 days of delivery; merchandise must be in clean, unscratched, saleable condition.

2014 Nissan Leaf pricing announced

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

Nissan has announced pricing for its pure-electric Leaf, which seems to be growing more popular by the hour. This time last year Nissan slashed the price of the Leaf by a whopping $6,000, sending into the sub-$30K territory, and for 2014 the price and equipment list has barely changed. The Leaf's driving range remains at 84 miles on a full charge, and the mpg-equivalent ratings stay at 126 mpge in the city and 101 mpge on the highway, for a combined rating of 114.

It’s the McBatmobile! McLaren X-1 debuts at Pebble Beach

Fri, 17 Aug 2012

McLaren Special Operations has delivered the McLaren X-1 to Pebble Beach, a re-bodied, one-off McLaren MP4-12C. We knew McLaren were planning a special car for Pebble Beach, and this is it – the McLaren X-1 Concept. If McLaren were looking for a way to show just how much the customisation service at Woking - McLaren Special Operations – can actually offer clients, the commission from an un-named McLaren client to create this one-off McLaren must have been manna from heaven.

Leno invites Ricardo HyBoost Ford Focus to the garage

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

Jay Leno invited Tom Apostolos to the garage this week. He’s the president of Ricardo Americas, a tech company partially responsible for the hybrid powerplant on the McLaren P1. Leno and Apostolos talk about hybrids, and how you have to drive them tens of years and hundreds of thousands of miles to get any added value out of them.
