Do you need compatibility with a pulse width modulated idle valve but don't want to scour the internet to figure out who's installation instructions you should use? This is the one stop shop!

This kit is designed to upgrade a Megasquirt with a V2.2 or V3.0 board to use Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) idle valves that can be found on many vehicles, particularly European. The stock circuitry is only designed to handle an on/off type valve for a high idle/low idle setting. Using your stock PWM idle valve will allow you to tune your car to idle like stock. It can be used to hold idle high until the engine warms up to operating temperature or can be ran closed loop to continuously monitor and modify the idle speed as needed. This is an awesome option for those with air conditioning because it will automatically bump the idle to account for the added parasitic losses.
This kit is compatible with both 2 and 3 wire idle valves, although 3 wire valves will also require a 35 ohm, 50 watt resistor for one of the grounds and is not included with the kit. The 8 page installation manual provides precise step by step instructions for installation on V2.2 and V3.0 boards. Pictures and diagrams show you exactly where you are working and what you need to be doing. The manual even shows you how to wire up your idle valve and provides a troubleshooting section to help with any issues.

ADVANTAGE OF THIS PRODUCT IS YOU RECEIVE THE COMPONENTS, INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, AND IDLE VALVE WIRING DIRECTIONS ALL IN ONE PACKAGE. NO SCOURING THE INTERNET SORTING OUT CONFLICTING INFORMATION!

What is required:

This kit must be soldered in place of other components, so some skill with soldering is required. You do not need to be an electronics guru, the manual will tell you everything you need to know to get it working. If you have a soldering iron, some solder, and a wire cutter, you're set!

Unfortunately I cannot accept returns because I cannot verify proper installation or ESD prevention procedures, but I am more than willing to provide as much technical support as you need to get it working. This kit is not required for V3.57 boards.

BMW i3 EV only scores 4 stars in Euro NCAP test

BMW i3 EV only scores 4 stars in Euro NCAP test The new BMW i3 is selling well and looks to be a good buy if you do lots of driving in congested urban environments. It offers a decent amount of proper BMW goodness and probably has enough range – even without the optional range-extender engine – to cover most urban drivers’ daily needs. But it seems there is one area the i3 doesn’t come up trumps and that’s for safety – in particular pedestrian safety – scoring a disappointing four stars in the latest round of Euro NCAP testing.

Camaro, Mustang, Challenger set for modern pony-car war

Forty summers ago was a magical time for performance-car enthusiasts--specifically for fans of high-horsepower pony cars. The summer of 1969 broke with Detroit in a high-octane horsepower war among the Big Three automakers. With the carmakers trying to outmuscle one another, the winners were the customers.
