Chinese car maker BYD are using revolutionary battery technology in the BYD E6
The biggest problem with electric cars (or one of them, at least) is that the battery technology is not really up to the ambitions of car makers. Chevrolet’s Volt (aka Opel Ampera) is a good case in point. Tellingly, a Toyota tecchy referred to the science behind the Chevvy Volt as ‘Vaporware’, and the whole project is founded on the expectation that the technolgy will develop quickly enough to make the car a reality.

Infiniti's new LE Concept, a zero-emissions luxury sedan, has been unveiled at this year's New York auto show. The LE Concept, which is approximately the same length as an the brand's G Sedan, features Infiniti design cues such as the double-arch grille, crescent-cut C-pillar and a strong shoulder line surface. Design features such as the aluminum-alloy wheels with aero treatment, the high rear deck, rear aero diffuser and aero side fin spoilers with integrated illumination contribute to the coefficient of drag of 0.25.

A 1933 Alfa Romeo that its owner longed for as a youngster growing up in South Africa took home the "Coppa d'Oro Villa d'Este" honors at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The award is voted on by the attendees at the first day of the event, on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. David Cohen said he often saw the Alfa Romeo 6C GS 6th Series when he was riding his bicycle as a boy in South Africa and could only dream of one day owning the car.
