Top Gear 'for inner nine-yea-old'

THE BOSS of BBC hit Top Gear says the presenters' childish antics are a success because they are a "release valve" for the increasing stresses of our working lives. Executive producer Andy Wilman said the programmes helped viewers to reconnect with their nine-year-old selves because life for adults is "bloody hard". In an interview with Radio Times, he also bemoaned the constraints of the workplace, which could be seen as a swipe at the strict levels of compliance which apply to BBC TV shows.

Nine-time motorcycling Grand Prix World Champion Valentino Rossi has teamed up with Opel to create a special version of its Adam city car. The Italian two-wheel demon collaborated with famous motorcycle helmet designer Aldo Drudi to create the one-off Adam (sold by Opel’s sister company Vauxhall here in the UK) – and boy, is it bright. Aston Martin has revealed it is to build a limited run of two exclusive CC100 Roadsters to celebrate its centenary year. Aston Martin’s last ‘Limited Edition’ was the £1 million plus One-77 which helped Aston put some much needed funds in their bank account. The One-77 was a custom made car with a custom made price but now, with Aston Martin celebrating its centenary year this year, they’re about to build a new concept car – the Aston Martin CC100 – that’s based on the V12 Vantage but with an open roadster body.
