Condition:New

I bought this set of 40 over pistons to overhaul an engine that was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy.  They were in my attic and escaped the flooding.   I have done a sleeve job on a '69 220D many years ago and it was very tedious and time consuming at the time.   There is plenty of wall thickness to accommodate a one millimeter bore job  The block is bored and honed out to 80mm.and the oversize pistons are 79.97mm.   Complete with new piston rings, wrist pins and snap rings.   I would consider this set a very hard to find item.  They are made by the original supplier to Mercedes, MAHLE.

Increasing the bore by 1mm will not affect the compression as Mahle engineered the pistons to deal with it.

Item weighs10 pounds and will be shipped in a Medium flat rate box by Priority Mail

Trains cancelled over broken-down taxi

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

TRAINS were cancelled after a taxi carrying the ticket conductors broke down on the way to the station - and health and safety policy bans them walking. London Midland yesterday told passengers it was cancelling two of its services from Birmingham New Street station in the city centre after the breakdown happened during what is usually a short journey by foot from nearby Snow Hill station. However, the rail operator has said its own safety policy bars the uniformed conductors from getting to the station on foot because they are carrying their ticket machines and cash from the days' takings.

The timeworn solution to quelling the finicky (read “expensive to repair”) Jaguar V12 has been to swap the British unit with that eight-pot testament to midcentury American ingenuity, the Chevrolet small block. We've seen an '80s-era L98 in a Lamborghini Espada. We've borne witness '90's-era LT1s in all manner of things.
