Mercedes Benz 129 Giant Brembo Brake Calipers 334 X 32 "silver Arrow" Excellent on 2040-parts.com
Brockton, Massachusetts, US
Mercedes Benz 129 SL Brembo Caliper Pair Upgrade 334 mm X 32 mm "Silver Arrow Brakes" These is a pair of excellent condition 334 X 32 mm Brembo front calipers, these are what is referred to as “Silver Arrows” (but they're black, not silver!), these calipers are perfectly functional in every way, they are ready to install as is (or you could renew the piston seals if you're a perfectionist). Each caliper comes with a brake hose in fine condition, brake bleeder screws, the brake pad wear sensor connector wire pigtail is still installed and in perfect condition, both caliper securing bolts are also included. In addition to the calipers there is a full set of very serviceable OE JURID brake pads (est. 4-5 mm of pad thickness, two with wear sensors installed), each with the anti-rattle shims, the two caliper dual-piston shims, the two brake pad securing clips and four brake pad pins.
There are a few scrapes and scratches on the caliper's black paint coating but they are small. You would need to obtain the correct rotors but I figure most people will have their own preference for style and make of those.
These came off an SL 500 but I'm not sure what year. a fantastic brake upgrade for any 129 chassis vehicle, they are also the "to die for" brake upgrade for 500E cars, and will fit all 124 and 201 chassis vehicles but may require later style control arm upgrades and larger wheel rims.

Bentley Hybrid setup works across Bentley’s range of engines
Mon, 28 Apr 2014You’ll be able to have a hybrid powertrain across Bentley’s range of engines With car makers increasingly hidebound by ever more stringent economy targets, even makers of the world’s most expensive, luxury cars are having to play ball. Which explains why Bentley has decided to go the hybrid route for their cars, with the debut of the Bentley Hybrid, a Mulsanne with the 6¾ litre V8 under the bonnet aided by an electric motor and a bank of batteries, at the Beijing Motor Show. It seems the Bentley hybrid solution – which is claimed to increase power by 25 per cent and improve emissions and economy by 70 per cent – is very similar to that used across the VW Group range, with an electric motor between the engine and transmission fed by a bank of batteries.
Lotus Exige S Roadster arriving Summer 2013 (video)
Thu, 02 May 2013So the revelation that the Lotus Exige S Roadster – which had an outing as a concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – is finally making it in to production and will arrive in the Summer of 2013 is exactly the sort of Lotus news we want to hear. Lotus has revealed the Exige S Roadster as a reality in a short tease video (below) telling us the new Lotus will be ‘Ready for the Summer’, although by the time it gets in to the hands of customers summer will probably be already over (if it’s not already – we have had a few nice days in a row). The Exige S Roadster will get the same 345bhp 3.5 litre V6 complete with supercharger as the coupe which will be enough to get you to 62mph in just 4 seconds, and you’ll be able to row it along with either a six-speed manual or automated manual ’box plus, thanks to a very lightweight folding roof and the loss of the back spoiler, the Roadster will weigh no more than the coupe so should handle exactly how a Lotus is meant to.
