Driveshaft Complete

Three Sections

Front, Rear, and Splined Hub

This is a complete late model driveshaft consisting of the front section with its joint, the rear section and the splined hub with its joint. The intermediate bearing is included as are its bracket and rubber mounting. This driveshaft system is in excellent condition and with the possible exception of the intermediate bearing rubber mount and could be bolted into place and driven. I would recommend at least a thorough cleaning and inspection of the rubber mount as it has been used and exposed to grease which often times contributes to the deterioration and breakdown of the rubber itself. The universal joints are in very good servicable condition. Although not pictured I have and will include the aluminum front centering cross.

This is an excellent complete driveshaft in near perfect servicable condition ready to install and drive or it is the perfect complete rebuild and restore starting point for a comprehensive restoration.

I will unbolt after positional marking the front and rear section relationships to allow easier packing before shipping.

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

Koenigsegg has released the first official image of its new Agera One:1 hypercar, set to make its world debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show next month. Based on the Swedish firm’s Agera R model, the One:1 concept produces a whopping 1,340hp and weighs 1,340kg, meaning the car has a power-to-weight ratio of 1,000hp per tonne. That’s a lot.

BYD E6 – Next Gen Electric Car battery technology

Sun, 03 May 2009

Chinese car maker BYD are using revolutionary battery technology in the BYD E6 The biggest problem with electric cars (or one of them, at least) is that the battery technology is not really up to the ambitions of car makers. Chevrolet’s Volt (aka Opel Ampera) is a good case in point. Tellingly, a Toyota tecchy referred to the science behind the Chevvy Volt as ‘Vaporware’, and the whole project is founded on the expectation that the technolgy will develop quickly enough to make the car a reality.

American muscle and hot rods at SEMA 2013: in pictures

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

As they say in the States, "there aint no replacement for displacement" – a theory all of the vehicles in our SEMA 2013 American muscle and hot rods gallery subscribe to. Some tuners at SEMA use turbocharging and supercharging to achieve massive horsepower levels from modified cars, but not most of the companies behind the tweaks on these American muscle cars and hot rods – green these vehicles most definitely aren’t, mean they most certainly are.
