Toyota Aygo Crazy set for Goodwood debut

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 02 July 2008 10:41 Toyota will bring its 'shopping supercar' – the Aygo Crazy – to the 2008 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which kicks off next week. It's a one-off, attention-grabbing supermini with a mid-engined layout like the Renault Clio V6.  The racing Aygo uses a 200bhp turbocharged version of Toyota's 1.8 VVT-i engine from the Celica and MR2 – making it somewhat more powerful than the regular Aygo's 68bhp. Chevrolet Volt faces toughest test--consumers

Scientists, journalists and a slew of other alleged experts have all weighed in on the 2011 Chevrolet Volt, and now the only verdict that truly matters--the public's--will be rendered. General Motors said 6,348 consumers have taken the extended-range car for a spin during a 12-city “Volt Unplugged Tour,” and not surprisingly, GM's reviewers like it. Still, initial feedback does appear to be truly positive.

Nissan opens new North American design studio

Nissan Design America Inc. has opened a new design studio in Farmington Hills, Michigan, on the grounds of Nissan Technical Center North America. The $14 million investment represents an expansion of Nissan's design capabilities in Farmington Hills as well as a shift in design capabilities.
