Mercedes-Benz reveals AMG Vision Gran Turismo virtual concept car

Which explains why we’ve been sent pictures of this – the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo, a concept car that will exist only in Gran Turismo 6 when it’s launched on 6 December 2013.

New 2014 VW Golf R gets 296bhp – first photos

Under the bonnet the 2.0 litre petrol turbo delivers a healthy 296bhp (300PS) and 280lb/ft of torque which is sent to all four wheels through VW’s latest Haldex 4Motion 4WD, with the ability to decouple the back axle drive under low load conditions and send almost all the power to the back wheels too when demanded.

Volvo is currently testing in-car sensors that can monitor driver alertness -- ones that can determine if the driver is becoming tired and inattentive. A number of simple systems that basically generate warnings after a certain period of nonstop driving are now available in cars. They take into account the average speed and time elapsed since the vehicle was started.
