Mazda's rotary spins to its 40th
Thu, 31 May 2007By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 31 May 2007 02:03 Mazda yesterday celebrated 40 years of making rotary engines. It remains the only mainstream manufacturer persisting with this type of motor and has built 1.97 million of them since 1967. Ford C-Max (2010) MPV scooped
Thu, 03 Sep 2009By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 03 September 2009 09:00 CAR's scooped the new Ford C-Max, coming to a showroom near you in 2010 complete with sliding doors for the first time. Our new spyshots reveal the sliding doors on next year's C-Max, which will improve practicality for families and parents armed with buggies and carry cots. Sources suggest that the sliding doors will be reserved for a longer wheelbase seven-seater C-Max, leaving the regular car with conventional doors and five seats.
New Aston Martin Vanquish Volante arrives – costs £200k
Wed, 19 Jun 2013The New Aston Martin Vanquish Volante (pictured) costs £200k It’s almost exactly a year since the Aston Martin Vanquish arrived as a replacement for the DBS, and now we get it’s convertible sibling – the new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante. Aston are claiming the new Vanquish Volante is the stiffest Aston convertible ever and have also managed to keep the usual weight increase for a soft top down to just 9kg by giving the Volante a full carbon fibre body. The result of that is the Volante manages to produce exactly the same performance figures as the Vanquish Coupe – 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds and 183mph – from its 565php, 6.0 litre V12 and shouldn’t, we hope, shake and shimmy in the way many Aston convertibles do in the process.
