Mercedes Center Arm Rests
Up for sale is a pair center arm rests removed from a W108 Sedan. The chrome is in good condition as shown in the photographs. These armrests are tan in color with the sides in vinyl and the face in velour. There is some discoloration to the vinyl as shown in the photographs. The length of the armrests is approximately 16".
Will these fit your car? Look at the detail photograph showing the holes in the chrome -- the bolt holes need to be the same offset as the bolts holding the side of the seat bracket to the seat. In some cases the chrome armrest piece bolts directly on top of the existing chrome trim, in other applications there is a plastic/chrome snap on trim piece that comes off revealing the bolts holding the metal bracket to the seat. In either case, the supplied bolts go through the armrest chrome and into the side of the seat, either through the existing chrome bracket or the existing cad plated unfinished bracket benieth the plastic chrome trim. The important thing to consider is the offset of the armrest bolt holes as compared with the bolts securing the existing seat bracket to the seat. The existing bolts are removed and replaced by those included with these armrests.
These armrests will fit a variety of 1960s and 1970s Mercedes cars, not just W108 sedans. Again, measure the bolt offset and compare with the photographs.

Art installation moves 100,000 toy cars an hour

Called Metropolis II, this amazing construction took Chris and his chief engineer four years to design and create and expands significantly on Metropolis I - the latest version has 18 roadways including one six-lane carriageway. It also has a rail network with HO-scale model trains, and running at capacity it pumps 100,000 cars around its network at a scale speed of 230mph.
