Here we have a HVAC control unit removed from a 1989 W126 420SEL Mercedes Benz. Euro unit has celsius control and is unmarked. This can be used in many different models, but fitment is always up to buyer. Unit worked great when removed, including backlight and functions! Please keep in mind this will only work for W126's 1988 and newer. Part number is in listing, confirm with your dealer if need be. VW developing 10-speed transmission to save fuel

Volkswagen is developing a 10-speed dual-clutch transmission to help reduce fuel consumption in its vehicles, CEO Martin Winterkorn said. The transmission is one of a number of drivetrain technologies that the automaker is focusing on for the mid- and long term, he said. Others include plug-in hybrids and a high performance diesel engine.

Audi has released details of their third 'e' car - The Audi A4 2.0 TDIe In another in the series of ‘Here’s an even lower emission model than the last one’ series, Audi has announced details of the Audi A4 2.0 TDIe, a 2.0 litre A4 which manages to cut emissions and lower fuel consumption. The A4 TDIe will supplement the existing A4 2.0 litre TDI range – 118bhp, 141bhp and 158bhp – and becomes the third Audi to get the ‘e’ badge – the others being the Audi A3 1.9 TDIe and the Audi A6 2.0 TDIe Audi’s range of TDIe cars use a very similar route to other manufacturers to achieve some pretty spectacular headline figures. This new A4 2.0 TDIe gets the same frugal engine as the A6 2.0 TDIe, which offers 134bhp from it 2.0 litre common-rail diesel.
