Aston Martin to recall nearly 17,000 cars

Aston Martin has announced it is to recall 16,825 cars globally to rectify an issue that has emerged with the throttle pedal of its cars. Models built between November 2007 and October 2013 will be recalled, the firm says, because they “may exhibit a defect in the throttle pedal”. Hyundai named Michael O'Brien vice president of product and corporate planning--an influential position that has been vacant since John Krafcik became CEO in late 2008, the company announced on Tuesday.
