Vintage Original, Mercedes-Benz C107/W107 450 SLC Rear Deck Lid/Trunk/Boot Cover. Solid and rust-free sheetmetal, use on any driver or service car, and suitable for re-sale cars. Came off of a 1975 450SLC, as shown, that we are parting out.  One silver re-paint over original silver, has some chips and thin places needs refinishing again. There is some pitting on the underside edge where the rubber seal would meet, as shown, still fine for a driver but needs a skim coat of filler for a restoration. Shown still on donor car in last picture. Should fit all 380SLC and 450SLC Coupes, and possibly 560SLC's but please check your application first before bidding, because there may have been design changes through the model years. No third brake light, of course. 450 SLC emblem does not come with deck lid. The Fiat 500C Pink convertible hits the UK - but only 300 of them Fiat have been busy doing what BMW have done with the MINI – and Audi seem intent on doing with the new A1 – namely churning out special editions all over the place to keep punters interested and make sales. And it seems to work.  Buyers like something that stands out from the crowd and of which there will be a limited run. Step forward the Fiat 500 Pink, launched by Fiat a few months ago in the UK and limited to just 500 units.

Women 'prefer men in eco-friendly cars'

GIRLS go for men with "green" cars rather than those with gas-guzzlers, according to a survey. More than half of women reckon drivers of expensive sports cars are arrogant, the poll from Motors.co.uk found. But many women, and men too, found drivers of eco-friendly cars such as the Nissan Leaf and Toyota Prius to be conscientious, intelligent and safe motorists.

Retracing Steve McQueen's Los Angeles in his Jaguar XKSS

In 1958, Steve McQueen bought this Jaguar XKSS from a local TV personality who kept it parked in a studio lot on Sunset Boulevard. McQueen cajoled his wife Nellie into writing a check for $5,000 -- today around $40,000 -- and became the third owner of XKSS chassis No. 713, a car that had originally been imported a year earlier by Jaguar North America.
