This auction is for the transmission out of a 1994 C280 with 63,000 miles. You read bad stories of people buying transmissions from junkyards or online sellers all the time. These transmissions all come with guaranties, but once they are installed and you take it for a drive, it doesn’t work right. And even with a guaranty, you still have to pull it back out and send it back to get a refund. With this one I can take you for a ride so you can see how it shifts before you buy. Take that into account when bidding as it will take me a couple of weeks to get the transmission out of the car. This is for local pickup but may be able to deliver within 200 miles or so of the Washington DC area for 50 cents per mile, $50 minimum.

TERMS OF THE AUCTION ARE AS FOLLOWS: For local pickup. Delivery possible as previously described. $200 deposit within 3 days of the close of the auction. Balance when transmission is picked up or delivered. You are welcome to arrange your own shipping from zip code 20854. Paypal is among my accepted payment options for deposit only. Do not pay the full amount after winning the auction, I will send an invoice for the deposit. Please DO NOT bid if you don’t intend to buy.

New Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid goes on sale. Price from £28,249

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

The new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (pictured) goes on sale in the UK The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV arrived at the Paris Motor Show in 2012, and although it’s already available in Europe it’s only now going on sale in the UK. And it does offer a compelling package. Mitsubishi say the Outlander PHEV is the most practical vehicle qualifying for the UK’s £5,000 grant for low emission cars, and instead of charging really silly prices for their new plug-in hybrid Mitsubishi have pitched it so buyers pay no more at entry-level (after the grant) than they would for its diesel equivalent.

Shelby Supercars SSC TuaTara Interior photos & video

SSC Tuatara Interior photos and video It was back in July that Shelby Supercars revealed that their new supercar wasn’t going to be the Ultimate Aero II, but would get a new moniker – the SSC Tuatara. At the time, Shelby only issued a few photos (well, renderings) of the exterior of the Tuatara, but it looked impressive enough. And even when Jerod Shelby took a real Tuatara to Shanghai a month later to show his new creation to the world’s biggest car market, the doors stayed firmly shut.
