Jaguar and Williams F1 to partner on C-X75 hybrid supercar technology

Jaguar is teaming up with Williams F1 to put a limited run of $1.1 million C-X75 hybrid-powered supercars into production in late 2013 with a crucial partnership that links two storied British companies to develop cutting-edge technology. Jag and Williams have been working on a production plan for the C-X75 since January and will share development over the next few years. “Williams has expertise in composite structures, advanced powertrains, aerodynamics, low-volume production and speedy production development,” said Bob Joyce, Jaguar Land Rover's chief engineer.

BMW might not be producing an M3 CSL, but this is something much better. Called the M3 GTS it’s a stripped-out 450bhp road-racer designed to take on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Kia will reveal the 2011 Magentis/Optima at the New York Motor Show in April Hot on the heels of the sketches we saw of the 2011 Kia Magentis just before the Geneva Motor Show, we now get a photo of Kia’s take on the Hyundai i40 (well, a CGI anyway). Which does seem a long lead time. We know that Kia intend to show the Magentis/Optima at the New York Motor Show next month, but we’re not expecting to see the Magentis in showrooms until 2011.
