Mon, 24 Mar 2014A NEW report commissioned by a parliamentary safety group claims that deaths and serious injuries on the roads are likely to cost society £110 billion in the years to 2030. According to the Parliamentary Advisory Committee for Transport Safety (Pacts), the total of those killed or seriously injured (KSIs) over this period is expected to be around a third of a million. These figures are expected despite the report predicting a dip in KSIs and slight injuries by 2030 compared with figures for 2012.
Koenigsegg Agera at Goodwood: Up close and personal
Fri, 01 Jul 2011Koenigsegg Agera on the Goodwood hillclimb We have to confess that we have a huge soft spot for the creations of Christian von Koenigsegg. So when we knew that friend of Cars UK Tommy Wareham, purveyor of all things stunning on four wheels at SuperVettura, was taking the only Koenigsegg Agera in the UK to Goodwood we thought Claire’s Goodwood Odyssey should continue with a good poke round the Agera. Understandably, Tommy wasn’t going to let Claire – or anyone else – loose on the Agera up the hillclimb as it’s a customer’s car, but he did chuck Claire the keys for a good look round, the opportunity to grab a set of Agera photos (below), and the chance to dream… Beautifully finished and oozing carbon fibre from every pore, the Koenigsegg Agera is perhaps the ultimate bonkers supercar, at an equally bonkers price – just think of it as a million pound supercar; it’s close enough.

Tue, 05 Feb 2013Bentley is almost ready to pull the wraps off its new four-door Continental: the 2013 Flying Spur. Today, Bentley has released a new teaser video to go with yesterday's silhouette sketch, and we've also got the latest spy shots of the Flying Spur testing in Spain. Bentley's 2013 Continental Flying Spur With Bentley set to make a further announcement on 20 February, we're expecting to see the Flying Spur make its debut at the 2013 Geneva motor show in March.
